X-CART is an often overlooked, but feature rich and stable marketing & shopping cart environment, first released in 2002, and today there are over 33,000 X-Cart stores deployed around the globe. Over the years ACC have got to learn the ins and outs of this powerful system, and work very closely with X-CARTs developers to ensure our sites are patched, and are future proofed to connect with external payment gateways such as PayPal. 

Unfortunately the platform has, over the years gained a reputation for being slow. This is more to do with the configuration of the hosting platform, or perhaps certain custom code which may not have been deployed with full testing. Too often changes are made to X-CART production environments, which impact performance and thus negatively impact the shopping experience for customers. 

Staging Server Included

All our APP:Host X-Cart hosting plans have a staging server included, meaning that O/S component updates, security patches, X-Cart version updates, all of these can first be deployed in a staging environment and fully tested by us and your team, before anything goes live. Any downtime for a store is expensive, and potentially crippling for the business, as long term customers may simply search elsewhere if they can't get on - never to return. So the provision of a staging environment is extra insurance against customer loss if your business is not quite ready for one of our multiple server APP:Host X-CART plans - which naturally offer the very highest levels of reliability.
